Staff Training

SkyCity Adelaide is committed to developing staff awareness on host responsibility, including problem gambling and alcohol abuse.

In achieving this, SkyCity Adelaide staff complete programs on responsible gambling and the responsible service of alcohol. Training commences at induction where all new staff participate in introductory sessions. This training identifies the characteristics of problem gambling, as well as outlining the responsible service of alcohol procedures.

Increased levels of training are provided to relevant employees engaged in specific positions to deal with alcohol and gambling as per direction from the South Australia Government.

Supervisors and Managers of the abovementioned complete advanced training in host responsibility; this includes techniques surrounding the identification of, and appropriate intervention techniques for patrons requiring assistance with their gambling.
