Closure of Grandstand Bar and Level 1

From October 6 Grandstand Bar will close followed by the entirety of Level 1 on October 19 to make way for new venue, The District at SkyCity.

During the period of closure Chandelier Bar will be open as normal for customers seeking a drink. Keep an eye out for further updates on the opening of The District at SkyCity.

SkyCity Adelaide Venue Update

We are excited to announce that non Premier Rewards members are now able to join the rewards program and gain entry to SkyCity Adelaide.

A dedicated sign-up desk operating at the North Terrace entry will allow non-members to sign up during the hours of 10am-10pm, 7 days. 

SkyCity has worked closely with authorities to ensure a commitment to delivering the most robust health and safety standards, to ensure we adhere to these standards, specifically the 1.5 metre social distancing rule, new member signs ups may close during these times at the discretion of management. We appreciate your understanding to ensure we continue to adhere to these high standards.

All customers who sign up to Premier Rewards will be required to present current photo identification (Australian driver’s licence, passport or Australian proof of age card - digital ID not accepted).

You can begin your signup online, to make the process faster on your arrival to collect your card. Please note that it may take 24 hours to process an online application.

Premier Rewards members only

  • Only Premier Rewards members may enter SkyCity Adelaide Casino. This will ensure we have a central register of who is on site and when, so we can support with contact tracing, if required. 

 Hours of Opening: 

  • Gaming machines - open from 9am
  • Table games - open from midday  
  • The Chandelier and Grandstand Bars will initially only be open to service players.

Note: Level 1 table games including Poker are currently being refurbished and are therefore unavailable.

Level 1 is expected to reopen in late October, when a transformed Level 1 will be revealed as ‘The District at SkyCity’, bringing together the Poker Zone, live entertainment, a microbrewery, sports bar and bistro in one unique offering.

If sick, please don’t come to SkyCity

  • If you are feeling sick, please, DO NOT come to SkyCity. Please stay at home in your bubble and seek medical advice. Take care of yourself and only come to SkyCity when you have fully recovered. By doing so, you will be keeping yourself and others safe.

Stay 1.5 metres apart

  • Don’t forget to Stay 1.5 metres away from others where possible and please respect other people’s space.
  • Table games will only cater for up to three players and there will be no back-betting.
  • A number of gaming machines have been turned off to enable social distancing.

Extra Cleaning Regimes

  • Extra cleaning regimes have been implemented. We have stepped up the frequency of cleaning to ensure high touch surfaces are sanitised.
  • Hand sanitiser available to employees and guests.

Update on Premier Rewards Points

We know that your Rewards Points and birthday gifts are an important part of your experience at Adelaide Casino. As you have been unable to use and redeem these valuable components of the Premier Rewards program, we have made the following allowances;

Rewards Points

We have paused the expiration of all Rewards Points until 1st January 2021. Once expiry recommences, any points that were earned before 1 July 2020 will expire. Any other points on your account will remain until six (6) months after the date they are earned.

Birthday Points Gifts

Any member who has a birthday between March and August and has not yet redeemed their birthday points gift will enjoy an extended redemption period. Members in this category will have until 30 September to redeem their birthday points gift at any kiosk at Adelaide Casino.

Our customers and our staff are our number one priority and the following is important information regarding COVID-19 that has been implemented:

  • Introduction of a number of social distancing measures:
    • De activation of every second gaming machine and electronic table game
    • Distancing between players at seated table games
    • Standing betting at seated table games will be disallowed
    • No more than 5 players at standing games such as roulette
    • We are limiting promotional draws to reduce the number of customers in one place
  • Hand sanitisers have been placed throughout our site and handwashing instructions have been placed in our public bathrooms.
  • Team members have been educated on how to prevent transmission of viruses and as per the advice of World Health organisation our focus has been around best practice personnel hygiene.
  • We have established an isolation procedure to minimise exposure to others if there is a suspected case
  • Our cleaning regime has been increased to reduce the risk of contaminated surfaces
  • We have introduced additional personal protective equipment requirements for staff who may come into contact frequently touched surfaces.
  • Our Advanced First Aiders have been briefed on the signs and symptoms of COVID-19

Our plan for if a COVID-19 case is suspected:

  • If any staff or guests visiting our site report flu-like symptoms, Adelaide Casino has Advance First Aiders who will attend and if necessary isolate unwell persons to assess their symptoms.
  • Medical and Health Services will be notified immediately
  • We will notify the community once the case has been verified by health professionals
  • All relevant areas would be cleaned with anti-viral products

What you can do:

  • You can protect yourself and others from getting sick by regularly washing your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds and avoid touching your face
  • When coughing or sneezing, cover your mouth and nose with a flexed elbow or tissue and dispose of the tissue in a waste bin.
  • If you are suffering from flu-like symptoms, please self-isolate and contact relevant authorities on 1800 020 080
  • Ensure you follow the 14 day self-isolation period if you have travelled from overseas 

Adelaide Casino is continuing to monitor the advice of the Department of Health and Government and our priority is to ensure all our customers and team members are well informed of the situation and to provide a safe environment to visit.
