Oyster Soirée

A homestyle soirée with guests from Sydney, Smoky Bay, Coffin Bay, and Kangaroo Island.

From natural to out-of-the-box creations, Oyster Soirée at The Kitchen is a celebration of the not-so-humble oyster.

Throughout the month of September, we’re whipping up limited-time additions to The Kitchen’s menu, starting with a trio of entrées: a crispy oyster bao, pickled oyster crostini, and smoked oyster mousse-filled puri.

For the main event, The Kitchen is serving Oyster Linguini with kombu butter, and tempura oyster atop Murray Cod.

From the bar, enjoy an oyster martini featuring Never Never’s Oyster Shell Gin with pickled oyster garnish. For those who like to shuck and suck, we recommend the Oyster Shot, featuring Herradura Tequila.

For the purists, we’ll have $6 freshly shucked oysters, including Sydney Rock, Smoky Bay, Coffin Bay, and Kangaroo Island varieties. For those who like their raw oysters a little less traditional, we recommend our range of curated toppings, including Finger Lime & Shiso, Coconut & Lychee, Gin & Tonic, and San Daniele & Smokey Beerenberg.

The pièce de résistance, we’ll be offering HALF-PRICE OYSTERS from 12-1 pm Thursday to Saturday, and 5-7 pm Tuesday to Saturday.
