At SkyCity Adelaide we take our social licence to operate seriously, and we are committed to supporting the community where our people live and work.
We are not just a business operating in the community, we are a part of it. Our more than 1,400 employees live, work, and raise their families here in South Australia.
More than a responsibility, it is our privilege to give back to the community that has welcomed and supported our business for 40 years this December.
The SkyCity Adelaide precinct is a major supporter of South Australian producers and suppliers, which includes millions of dollars spent each year on fresh produce, beverages, professional services, musicians, and other entertainers.
By sourcing through local producers and suppliers wherever possible, we contribute substantially to the local economy and aim to minimise our environmental impact through reduced transport, refrigeration and packaging of goods.
Each year we proactively support a broad range of charitable organisations in our community. In the last financial year, SkyCity supported more than 60 local charity events in various ways, including direct cash donations, partnerships, sponsorships, and in-kind donations of our premium goods and services valued at almost $400,000.
To maximise our impact, we focus our major community contributions on partnerships with South Australian charities. Some of our key partnerships include supporting mental health research, safe partying, and numerous local children’s charities.
